Health Coaching Jobs Newsletter #12

November 11, 2024

Hi Coaches!

Hiring is has picked up a bit the past month or so. Later in Fall tends to be a time of year when more hiring occurs as new budgets have been finalized for the next fiscal year, and that is a trend I’m seeing in the health coaching realm as well, at least when it comes to remote jobs. You’ll notice some company names I’ve highlighted in the past in the jobs for today’s newsletter.

I’m knee deep in the throes of the end of the semester while working a whole lot and just plugging away at life, but it feels good for the most part. I want to thank everyone who has reached out to express their thanks and appreciation for the newsletter - you’re the reason I keep going.

I came across a question recently on Reddit asking about practice management platforms for health coaches who have their own clients. This is a question I see almost every day on some Facebook group or other, so I thought I’d expand upon it here.

A practice management platform is software that helps coaches with the operational and administrative tasks of running a practice and working with their own clients. It helps streamline your processes and systems all in one place so that you aren’t having to use many different point solutions to run your business. A good practice management platform handles billing, client progress and documentation, scheduling, communications, and is HIPAA compliant.

The practice management platform landscape for coaches is becoming increasingly competitive as more options emerge. Below are several platforms that I see popping up time and again. Please note these are not endorsements.

Practice Better supports various healthcare professions, including health coaches. It is a platform I see mentioned often by health coaches, and offers a comprehensive suite of tools for practice management and client engagement. The platform also provides valuable resources to help guide decisions on running and managing a practice.

Vibly is a relatively new platform for coaches, founded by Health Coaches. It offers benefits like peer mentorship, learning opportunities, and collaboration alongside standard practice management solutions. Having launched just a few months ago, it will be interesting to see how the platform develops.

YourCoach was developed specifically for Health Coaches, focusing on resources and support centered around the science of coaching. They offer a comprehensive toolkit for essential coaching business workflows. What sets YourCoach apart is their innovative approach to addressing key challenges—supporting coach development through community and assisting with client acquisition. They also leverage B2B partnerships, allowing established coaches with proven outcomes to be matched with clients from these partnerships. Founded by Health Coaches.

Most practice management platforms have free trials, offering the opportunity to explore the benefits before making a commitment. What will really differentiate a platform as our industry grows, is how it addresses the unique needs and pain points of coaches. The platforms that can create an ecosystem of comprehensive support beyond just the software while offering top tier tech will stand out.

Do you use a practice management platform that I haven’t mentioned here? I’d love to hear about your experience!
